Do you know these things about magnetic examination?

Recently, a user asked: why should magnetic inspection be done for vacuum pump during air transportation?I will tell you about the magnetic inspection in this issue
1. What is magnetic inspection?
Magnetic inspection, referred to as magnetic inspection for short, is mainly used to measure the stray magnetic field strength on the surface of the goods’ outer packaging, and judge the magnetic risk of the goods for air transportation according to the measurement results.
2. Why do I have to do magnetic examination?
Because the weak stray magnetic field interferes with the aircraft navigation system and control signals, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) lists magnetic goods as class 9 dangerous goods, which must be restricted during collection and transportation. So now some air cargo with magnetic materials need to be magnetic tested to ensure the normal flight of the aircraft.
3. Which goods need magnetic inspection?

Magnetic materials: magnet, magnet, magnetic steel, magnetic nail, magnetic head, magnetic strip, magnetic sheet, magnetic block, ferrite core, aluminum nickel cobalt, electromagnet, magnetic fluid seal ring, ferrite, oil cut-off electromagnet, rare earth permanent magnet (motor rotor).

Audio equipment: speakers, speakers, speaker speakers / speakers, multimedia speakers, audio, CD, tape recorders, mini audio combinations, speaker accessories, microphones, car speakers, microphones, receivers, buzzers, mufflers, projectors, loudspeakers, VCDs, DVDs.

Others: hair dryer, TV, mobile phone, motor, motor accessories, toy magnet, magnetic toy parts, magnet processed products, magnetic health pillow, magnetic health products, compass, automobile inflation pump, driver, reducer, rotating parts, inductor components, magnetic coil sensor, electric gear, servomotor, multimeter, magnetron, computer and accessories.

4. Is it necessary to unpack the goods for magnetic testing?
If the customer has packed the goods according to the air transportation requirements, in principle, the inspection does not need to unpack the goods, but only the stray magnetic field on 6 sides of each goods.
5. What if the goods fail to pass the inspection?
If the goods fail to pass the magnetic test and we need to provide technical services, the staff will unpack the goods for inspection under the entrustment of the customer, and then put forward relevant reasonable suggestions according to the specific situation. If the shielding can meet the air transportation requirements, the goods can be shielded according to the customer’s entrustment, and relevant fees will be charged.have
6. Will shielding affect the goods? Is it possible to exit without shielding?
Shielding does not eliminate the magnetism of the goods with excessive magnetic field, which has little impact on the performance of the product, but it will communicate with the customer during the specific operation to avoid the loss of the customer.Qualified customers can also take back the goods and handle them by themselves before sending them for inspection.
According to IATA DGR packaging instruction 902, if the maximum magnetic field intensity at 2.1m (7ft) from the surface of the tested object exceeds 0.159a/m (200nt), but any magnetic field intensity at 4.6m (15ft) from the surface of the tested object is less than 0.418a/m (525nt), the goods can be collected and transported as dangerous goods. If this requirement cannot be met, the article cannot be transported by air.
7. Charging standard

For magnetic inspection, the cost is calculated based on the minimum unit of measurement (usually the number of boxes) of SLAC.
